WHAT IS SELF-LOVE?

It's about accepting yourself as you are, rather than constantly striving to be someone else. It is an essential component of living a happy and fulfilling life. Unfortunately, it's not always easy to love ourselves fully, and many of us struggle with feelings of inadequacy, self-doubt, and self-criticism. However, learning to love and accept ourselves is crucial if we want to lead healthy, happy lives. In this blog post, we'll explore what self-love is, why it's important, and how you can cultivate it in your own life.


ROMANTICISE YOUR OWN LIFE 

Life is beautiful, sometimes it just takes a change of perspective to see it. That’s exactly what romanticising your life means. This doesn’t mean creating a false reality on the outside, but being grateful and so in love with the present that no matter what your situation you can feel the positive energy radiate.

Always keep in mind that knowledge is power, we tend to get lost in our day-to-day lives so giving yourself the opportunity to take a step back, while gaining valuable or creative information will allow you to grow at the same time 

Start your skincare routine! Fancy a serotonin boost? Taking care of your skin is a way to connect with your body and foster a healthy relationship with it. By paying attention to your skin and its needs, you are acknowledging that your body is important and worthy of care. This can help to build a sense of respect and appreciation for your body, which can in turn improve your overall sense of self-worth. Skincare can also be a way to practise mindfulness or the act of being present in the moment. When you take time to care for your skin, you are engaging in a ritual that requires your full attention. By focusing on the sensations of the products on your skin, the smells and textures, and the process of cleansing and moisturising, you are practising mindfulness and being present in the moment

Affirmations are positive statements that you repeat to yourself regularly to help shift your mindset and belief system. They are a powerful tool for personal growth and can help you to build self-confidence, overcome negative self-talk, and cultivate a more positive outlook on life.

HERE'S HOW TO PRACTICE SELF - AFFIRMATIONS:

  1. Choose affirmations that resonate with you: Start by choosing affirmations that align with your goals and values. They should be positive statements that inspire and motivate you.

  2. Make it a daily practice: Repeat your affirmations daily, either in the morning or before bed. You can say them out loud, write them down, or even record them and listen to them throughout the day.
