Hiring: Social Content Manager (Strategy + Content Editor)

Hiring: Social Content Manager (Strategy + Content Editor)

Remote-eligible · Volunteer, fixed-term internship (3–6 months) · FORE MEDIA

The role

FORE is building a media platform, not just a feed. We need someone who can own the strategy behind what we put out, not just schedule posts, someone who can look at Founder Journey, Creative Expertise, Cultural Commentary, FORE Ecosystem and Educational Content and know what story we're actually telling across all of it.

You won't be making every piece of content yourself. You'll be shaping what gets made, briefing the people who do, and making sure it all adds up to something coherent rather than a stream of disconnected posts.

What you'll do

  • Build and manage the content calendar across FORE's platforms

  • Brief the Instagram Manager, YouTube Manager and Host/Presenters on what's needed and why

  • Keep content aligned to FORE's tone: defiant, intentional, direct, never corporate

  • Spot gaps and opportunities in what we're covering

  • Report on what's working and adjust strategy accordingly

What we're looking for

  • Strong editorial instinct, someone who reads content and immediately sees the angle

  • Comfortable directing other people's work, not just producing your own

  • Genuinely into fashion, music, art and culture, not just marketing for its own sake

  • Organised enough to run a calendar without it running you

Commitment

  • Minimum 2 hours/week direct contact with the team (weekly meeting)

  • Self-directed the rest of the week

  • Fully remote if that suits you

What you'll get

This is a structured internship, not a vague "help out when you can" ask. You'll move through four stages: Shadowing, Development, Ownership, Accreditation, with real responsibility by the end of it, not just busywork at the start.

At the end of your term:

  • A FORE certificate

  • A tailored reference

  • Portfolio work you can actually use

  • A listing in the FORE creative directory

  • Continued FORE community membership

  • Post-programme mentoring

This role is one of the ones with a genuine path to paid work if it develops the way we think it can, we'll be upfront with you about where that stands as we go. Travel is covered for anything in-person.

How to apply

Send us a short note on who you are and why this is the role for you, plus one example of content strategy or editorial work you've done (doesn't need to be professional, just real).

To apply, please send an email to Info@fore.uk with the ‘Application:[Job title]’ as the subject along with your CV and any evidence of previous work or relevant experience.
